Tilton School seeks a dynamic, collaborative professional to join our Admissions team for the 2206-2027 school year. This faculty-level role is central to our mission of enrolling a diverse and talented student body while contributing fully to our vibrant residential community.
Position Summary
The Associate/Assistant Director participates in all facets of the recruitment and enrollment process. The successful candidate will be a primary face of the school, engaging with prospective families and guiding them from initial inquiry through enrollment. As a residential school, Tilton considers the work of faculty broadly, and we engage with students both during and beyond the academic day. Faculty at Tilton can expect to contribute in the co-curricular and/or athletic program, serve as a student advisor, and to be responsible for weekly evening and monthly weekend supervisory duties. Key Responsibilities
Reports To: Director of Admissions
Recruitment & Travel: Represent the school at local, regional, and international fairs and feeder school visits.
Applicant Assessment: Conduct in person and virtual interviews and provide evaluative reports to the Admissions Committee.
Follow Up: Track applications of students and follow-up with families you’ve met during the process.
Application Review: Read and assess applications as part of the selection process.
Data & Technology: Utilize systems such as Blackbaud, Canva, and Google Suite to manage office recordkeeping, correspondence, and enrollment data.
Event Management: Assist in the planning and execution of specialized admissions events, including Open House and receptions.
Professional Development: Commit to professional development and maintain a presence for Tilton at industry events and professional conferences.
School Life: Carry out afternoon and/or residential life responsibilities as agreed upon.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience: 3–5 years of admissions-related experience is preferred, ideally within an independent school setting.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced computer skills are essential. Experience with Blackbaud is highly desired. Familiarity with SEVIS and DSO responsibilities is strongly preferred.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
Language/Tech Bonus: Proficiency in Mandarin, WeChat, or generative AI is a plus.
Travel: Ability to travel extensively during the fall and work occasional evenings and weekends.
