Salary Range: $62,758 to $104,952 annually based on degree and experience

Job Summary:
We seek an experienced educator who is passionate, collaborative, and reflective to join our Physical Education Department as a full-time Upper School Physical Education teacher for the 2026-27 academic year.
The position requires active participation in our vibrant learning community and an educator who will inspire and support our students. The role also requires ongoing collaboration with teaching teams at the course and departmental level. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of Physical Education, strong instructional practice, and a genuine love of teaching within a mission-driven independent school environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science, or related discipline.
- Minimum of three years of demonstrated teaching experience teaching movement skills, physical fitness, and health in both middle and high school.
- Certified in Lifeguard Training through the American Red Cross.
- Certified in CPR/First Aid/AED.
- A demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction and to design lessons which make use of a wide variety of learning methods.
- Ability to design and execute curriculum as part of a teaching team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and proficiency in educational technology.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Ability to see and hear within normal parameters with or without correction.
- Full range of head, neck, and back movement; unrestricted ability to bend knees, raise arms above the head, and to move hands, fingers, and wrists.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without difficulty.
- Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for sustained periods of time.
- Must successfully pass fingerprinting, background checks, and TB clearance due to working in proximity to children.
