The Director of Enrollment Management is a Senior Leadership role responsible for shaping and implementing comprehensive strategies that integrates enrollment, admissions, retention, and marketing to advance Charles Wright Academy’s mission and long-term sustainability.
This role serves as the steward of CWA’s brand and value proposition, ensuring that the school’s story is told with clarity, consistency, and authenticity across all touch points. The Director leads enrollment growth through data-informed decision-making, compelling storytelling, and a highly relational admissions process, while collaborating closely with school leadership to align marketing and enrollment priorities with institutional goals.
Reporting to the Head of School, the Director ensures that every prospective family interaction reflects the warmth, rigor, and joyful culture of CWA while supporting long-term institutional vitality. As a visible ambassador for the school, the Director builds trust with prospective and current families, engages the broader school community, and positions CWA as a distinctive and compelling choice within the Puget Sound independent school landscape.

Responsibilities
Leadership & Community Engagement
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the admissions team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
Engage faculty, staff, trustees, alumni, parents, and students in support of enrollment and marketing efforts. Build strong relationships with feeder schools, community organizations, and educational consultants.
Demonstrate a deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and actively support efforts to build a diverse and inclusive school community.
Enrollment Management & Admissions develop and implement a multi-year, data-driven enrollment management strategy that supports mission-aligned growth and retention across Preschool–12.
Lead admissions efforts from inquiry through enrollment.
Oversee re-enrollment and retention strategies to sustain a vibrant and engaged student body.
Serve on the Financial Aid Committee and collaborate with the Head of School and CFO to develop and manage financial aid strategy and tuition assistance allocation in support of enrollment goals.
Ensure admissions practices align with NAIS Principles of Good Practice and uphold the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and respect for families.
Marketing, Brand Strategy & Communications
Serve as the school’s chief brand ambassador, articulating CWA’s mission, values, and educational distinctiveness to internal and external audiences.
Oversee enrollment-related and development marketing efforts across digital platforms, website content, social media, print materials, advertising, and events.
Collaborate with Communications staff to produce compelling, mission-aligned content that highlights student experiences, faculty excellence, and outcomes.
Use data and analytics to assess marketing effectiveness, monitor inquiry and conversion trends, and continuously refine outreach strategies.
Ensure consistent messaging and visual identity across all enrollment and marketing communications.
Train faculty, staff, trustees, parents, and student ambassadors to confidently and consistently represent the school.
Data, Research & Strategic Planning
Design and continuously improve enrollment systems, CRM usage, data collection, and reporting processes.
Identify and track key enrollment and marketing metrics; provide clear, actionable insights to school leadership and the Board of Trustees.
Monitor demographic trends, market conditions, and competitor positioning to inform strategic decisions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree; advance degree is preferred.
Significant leadership experience in enrollment management, admissions, and marketing within an independent school.
Proven track record of designing and executing integrated enrollment and marketing strategies that achieve measurable results.
Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring, evaluating, and motivating teams.
Expertise in using data, analytics, and CRM systems to inform strategic decision-making.
Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to inspire and engage internal and external audiences.
Knowledge of the Puget Sound educational landscape and the independent school market preferred.
