Harbor Day School, an independent K-8 school in Corona del Mar, California, seeks a full-time instructor to teach Spanish to students in grades seven and eight. The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree and two years of experience teaching Spanish, the skills to utilize a variety of methodologies and current best practices in the classroom, and the ability to establish a strong rapport with middle school students.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Teach a full-time course load of four to five middle school Spanish classes
Serve as an advisor for a group of seven or eight middle school students
Oversee and organize Spanish Club activities
Chaperone an outdoor education trip
Assist with supervisory duties, such as study hall, recess, and carpool monitoring
