Notre Dame Preparatory School (NDP), a Catholic, independent, college preparatory school for girls in grades 6 - 12 located in Towson, Maryland, seeks a full-time Upper Level Campus Minister and Theology teacher for the 2025 - 2026 school year. This position will serve as the Upper Level Campus Minister and will also teach up to two (2) sections of Upper Level Theology. This is a full-time, 11-month position with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2026. Annual dates for the 11-month position are August 1st to June 30th.
Grounded in Catholic teaching and inspired by the charism of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, we expect our employees to foster a culture in which students are encouraged to explore their passions, deepen their faith, and build lasting bonds of sisterhood.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and facilitate student retreats, prayers services and school liturgies for Grades 9 – 12.
Schedule confessions in Advent and Lent and other related activities.
Teach two Upper Level Theology classes focusing on engaging and effective religious instruction (number of classes subject to annual review).
Coordinate activities that foster the spiritual life of students in the Upper Level.
Collaborate with Upper Level Service Director to support outreach to the community and foster the spirit of service in the lives of our students.
Collaborate with Middle Level (ML) Campus Ministry to ensure cohesion and comprehensive approach for grades 6 - 12.
Collaborate with the Theology Department to develop and refine curriculum rooted in Catholic intellectual tradition, aligned with NDP’s mission, and designed to integrate learning, prayer, and service.
Participate in ongoing professional development to maintain effective teaching strategies and stay current with educational trends.
Engage in the broader school community by participating in co-curricular and extracurricular activities and other duties as assigned.
Serve as UL Advisor for assigned cohort.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Liturgy, or Religious Studies; Master’s degree preferred.
A minimum of three (3) years teaching experience and experience in campus/youth ministry. Five (5) years preferred.
Successful classroom experience, particularly with high school students, is preferred.
Strong knowledge of Catholic theology and the ability to teach in accordance with the Church’s teachings, including instruction in Scripture, Catholic doctrine, church history, sacraments, and morality tailored to upper level students.
Familiarity with instructional technology and its integration in religious education. Incorporate instructional technology into teaching practices to enhance students’ learning experiences.

An active, practicing Catholic with a passion for teaching and inspiring young students.
May include evening and/or weekend hours, as needed.

Experience with integrating a variety of engaging classroom instructional methods and utilizing technology.

Actual annual salary for this 11-month role is $50,000 to $60,000 based upon degrees and experience. NDP offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental and vision), spending accounts (HCSA, HSA, FSA, DCSA), 403b Plan with employer contribution, employer paid short- and long-term disability, employer paid life insurance as well as generous paid time off (sick, personal, holidays and other school closures).
