Studio Art at Pilgrim School nurtures individuality and helps students discover their artistic voice. From the earliest grades, students explore materials, techniques, and processes while learning to observe closely and express ideas visually. As they progress, students refine craftsmanship, develop creative confidence, and make increasingly thoughtful artistic choices. Middle and high school students deepen conceptual thinking, connect their work to cultural and historical influences, and engage in critique, research, and portfolio development. Through field trips, visiting artists, and active participation in the Los Angeles arts community, students become not only skilled makers, but curious thinkers and engaged supporters of the creative world around them.
