You teach Computer Science well because you care deeply about students, think hard about how people learn, and enjoy creating an inspirational classroom environment.

The Jewish Community High School of the Bay needs an amazing teacher like you from most of January through June in 2026 (exact end dates are still being worked out). This position involves teaching one section of AP Computer Science Principles and one section of our 9th grade Foundations of Computer Science course.

When you join our innovative Math and Science department you will:

• have time during the school day to prepare great lessons and give students the individual help they need
• be directly involved creating and maintaining a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive environment
• be supported by an engaged Dean, Learning Specialists, and School Counselor to help you focus on your teaching
• work alongside colleagues who will both push you to be a better teacher and welcome your help in improving their teaching
• work with supportive administrators who encourage innovative teaching, expect professional growth, and embrace research based pedagogy
• support students and the JCHS community by engaging in life outside the classroom

Compensation: At JCHS salaries are one component of a compensation package that includes daily lunch and on-site parking. This position does not include benefits. The part-time base salary range the school expects to pay candidates for this position is $20,000-$40,000 depending on factors such as the candidate’s years of professional experience and the actual length of the leave, with additional stipends available for advanced degrees and certain supplemental duties.
