The Winsor School is an independent girls' school for academically promising and motivated students in grades five through twelve. Our diverse, vibrant community values intellectual curiosity, authentic engagement, and personal integrity and prepares young women to pursue their aspirations and contribute to the world. Winsor strives to create an environment of respect and inclusion.
Winsor seeks a full-time, experienced wellness teacher to begin in August 2026. The wellness teacher will join an experienced department consisting of two school counselors, the school nurse, and the wellness department head, who leads the team. The wellness teacher will teach a full-time load of health classes in both the Lower and Upper Schools, advise a small group of students in either division, and support students in clubs, study periods, and other activities, as assigned. Successful candidates will have experience working with both middle and high school students. A dedication to community and inclusion work, as well as an understanding of the importance of teacher engagement in community life are essential. The ability to use technology effectively in the teaching and learning process is also important.
The Winsor School is an equal opportunity employer and will not discriminate against any application for employment on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, genetic testing, veteran status, physical or mental disability, or on any other basis prohibited by law.
Founded in 1886, The Winsor School is an independent girls’ school for academically promising and motivated students in grades five through twelve. Located in the heart of Boston’s Longwood Medical and Academic Research area, our students benefit from the school's longstanding commitment to providing a superior education for girls, inspirational and dedicated faculty, and diverse and talented community. Winsor strives to consciously create an environment of respect and inclusion and to support ethnic, racial, religious and socio-economic diversity among all the constituencies of the school. Winsor supports this commitment through its inclusive curriculum, success addressing a range of learning styles, availability of a wide array of diversity efforts and programs, and participating in the greater Boston community.
