Position
A. Fantis is seeking a passionate, nurturing, and dynamic Lead Preschool Teacher for our PreK-4 Classroom! The candidate must be certified, fluent in Greek, and eager to grow professionally and participate in a collaborative atmosphere focused on continual improvement. The position requires a strong knowledge of adolescent development, a passion for teaching, as well as fulfilling our school's mission and vision.
Essential Duties
- Developing a positive, joyful, and structured classroom environment that engages and motivates students to achieve their fullest potential
- Fostering relationships with students, families, and faculty
- Assuming responsibility for the progress of students in all areas.
- Developing creative lessons that correlate with our curriculum, goals, and objectives.
- Collaborating with colleagues in various capacities, including planning, evaluating student growth, mentoring, and peer observations.
- Participating in ongoing professional development to grow as an instructional leader.
- Fulfilling the school’s mission to educate the whole child—mind, body, and spirit.

Requirements
- Birth-2 Certification
- Greek Speaker Preferred, not required
- Preschool teaching experience preferred, but not required
- Capacity to accurately reflect on one’s practice and engage in a professional community that strives for continued excellence
- Ability to establish and maintain productive, collaborative relationships with others.
- Understanding of child development and the role of Social/Emotional learning in building positive, educational environments.
