Teachers are expected to:
- engage in inquiry-based pedagogy, including project-based learning and other experiential approaches, and embed mindfulness practices into the classroom experience. Knowledge of these approaches is beneficial, and a willingness to develop them is essential

We are looking for a 5th Grade Teacher who is confident in their teaching experience and able to:
- instruct 5th grade students with a math and writing focus
- design engaging lessons that meet the needs of a myriad of learners
- implement best practices in teaching upper elementary students in writing and math that might include Responsive Classroom, Empowering Writers, and SFUSD Math
Other additional responsibilities include:
- attendance of professional growth opportunities and faculty meetings
- participation in school-wide events and committees
- any additional duties as assigned by the Division Head
Qualifications and requirements include
- a bachelor's degree with a master's preferred
- experience in education with upper elementary aged students
- excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- experience and confidence with technology
