Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking a reflective, student-centered, and globally-minded Educational & College Counselor to encourage families and schools to have an innovative and healthy approach to student education and admissions. Join us in this essential effort!
Key Responsibilities
Mentor students on their individualized educational paths aligned with their strengths, values, identities, and goals
Guide students through U.S. and global admissions processes with attention to academic planning, research, development, and school fit
Use Cogita’s developmental frameworks and intercultural models to assess and support student growth: academically, personally, and interpersonally
Lead honest, empowering conversations with students and families across cultures—modeling the curiosity, integrity, and emotional maturity we seek to cultivate in our students
Qualifications
Experience & Skills
Master’s degree in Education, Counseling, or related field (required)
At least 4 years’ experience in admissions counseling (required)
Familiarity with both U.S. and other educational systems (preferred)
Native-level fluency in English; Mandarin Chinese proficiency strongly preferred
Comfort navigating intercultural conversations and working with globally mobile families
