Full-Time Position: French Teacher

La Lumiere School is excited to welcome applications for the position of French Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching high school French 1-4 and AP French Language and Culture. In the World Languages department, we are committed to developing proficiency across the four core skills of speaking, listening, reading, and writing while fostering the cognitive growth and cultural curiosity that will help students become thoughtful, globally minded citizens ready to navigate the 21st century.
Primary Responsibilities
- Teach 5 sections of classes each semester
- Sponsor/supervise a co-curricular activity during two seasons
- Serve as an advisor to a group of approximately eight students
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in the relevant academic discipline. Master’s degree preferred
- Three or more years of teaching experience at the secondary level preferred
- Experience working with students outside of the classroom through coaching, mentorship, or other activities preferred

Application Details
Faculty compensation packages are competitive. If a faculty member resides on campus, the school provides year-round housing and meals when school is in session for the faculty member and his/her family as a part of the benefits package. Other benefits include an optional health plan, a contribution to a 403(b) retirement account, and professional development opportunities.
