The Learning Support Coordinator plays a central role in advancing equitable, student-centered learning across the Middle and Upper School by coordinating and overseeing learning plans, accommodations, and assessment supports for students with identified learning differences. This role requires highly organized coordination across the school to ensure accommodations are clearly communicated, consistently implemented, and thoughtfully adjusted over time. The Learning Support Coordinator partners closely with faculty to strengthen inclusive instructional practice through collaboration, classroom-based consultation, and intentional professional development that builds shared understanding of student learning profiles, effective accommodations, and inclusive strategies. Grounded in advocacy, clarity, and discretion, this position balances systems-level coordination with empathy and responsiveness, ensuring that students experience coherent, supportive learning environments aligned with Bosque School’s mission, values, and commitment to equity.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Student Learning Plans & Accommodations
Review, interpret, and synthesize educational and neuropsychological evaluations and related documentation.
Develop, update, and manage individualized accommodation plans, including classroom accommodations, assistive technology, and standardized testing supports.
Facilitate annual accommodation reviews with returning students and families each spring to prepare for the upcoming school year.
Meet proactively with newly admitted students and families to establish learning plans prior to the start of school.
Support students through advocacy, classroom support, small-group work, and ongoing progress monitoring.
Faculty Collaboration, Consultation & Professional Learning
Communicate accommodation plans clearly and proactively to faculty throughout the school year.
Partner with faculty to support understanding of student learning profiles, effective accommodations, and assistive technologies.
Observe classes and collaborate with teachers to model instructional strategies that support student learning.
Collect teacher feedback and relevant data to monitor student progress and adjust accommodations as needed.
Lead professional development related to differentiated instruction, inclusive practices, and learning support strategies.
Assessment & Standardized Testing Coordination
Coordinate school-based accommodations for standardized assessments, including STAR, PSAT, PreACT, and SAT.
Prepare, submit, and manage accommodation requests with external testing organizations, remaining current on documentation requirements and deadlines.
Review testing accommodations with students and families.
Collaborate with academic leadership to analyze assessment data and identify individual and grade-level trends that inform instruction and professional learning.
Student Support Coordination
Serve as an active member of student support teams across grade levels.
Collaborate with division heads, grade-level deans, counselors, the school nurse, and faculty to align academic, social, and emotional supports.
Coordinate referrals to external diagnosticians and specialists as appropriate.
Partner with the Director of the Bosque Learning Center to connect students with tutors and facilitate communication among tutors, families, and faculty.
Identify students who may benefit from further evaluation through screening and collaboration with faculty and support teams.
Partner with the Admissions Committee to review applicant testing materials and provide recommendations related to applicants with learning differences.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s or doctorate in education with a specific diagnostic background or master’s/doctorate in school psychology, clinical psychology, or neuropsychology.
Background/licensure in Educational Diagnostician, Special Education (Learning Disabilities, Gifted, Learning Disabled-Gifted, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder), School Psychologist, and/or other related fields is highly recommended.
Additional experience with the use and interpretation of educational diagnostic evaluations, as well as classroom experience at the middle and secondary levels, would be extremely beneficial.
Knowledge of the academic, emotional, and brain-based components of adolescent learning and the ability to utilize assistive technologies and interventions to support student growth.
Thorough understanding of ADA law.
