Stone Ridge is seeking a Director of Alumnae Relations to begin work on August 17, 2026 or sooner.
Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart, a member of the international Network of Sacred Heart Schools, is a Catholic, independent college preparatory school for girls, Grades 1-12, with a co-educational Early Childhood Program, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten in Bethesda, Maryland. The Director of Alumane Relations is responsible for cultivating meaningful connections with the alumnae community and advancing the school's mission of academic excellence, philanthropic support through individual connections, engagement with the Alumnae Board and local or regional events.
The Director of Alumnae Relations will:
maintain accurate, confidential and comprehensive records in the school's donor database (Raiser's Edge preferred), including contact information, engagement activities, interests, and relationship notes.
generate regular reports on alumnae engagement metrics, giving trends, and portfolio activity for the Director of Advancement and school leadership.
utilize database reporting tools to track progress toward annual goals and identify engagement opportunities; collaborate with the database coordinator to optimize systems and processes.
have a high level of discretion.
support the religious mission of the School and attend all-school and division religious activities.
devlop and implement a comprehensive, multi-year alumnae engagement strategy addressing the needs and interests of alumnae across all life stages and decades of graduation.
design, manage, and execute a robust reunion year class giving program, with particular attention to milestone reunion years (5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50+ years).
serve as primary staff liaison to the Stone Ridge Alumnae Board, providing strategic guidance, administrative support, and resources.
plan, coordinate, and execute a full calendar of alumnae events, including Breakfast with Santa, Reunion Weekend, regional alumnae gatherings, career panels, and virtual/hybrid programming.
develop and maintain consistent, compelling communications (e-newsletters, social media, print, direct mail) in partnership with the Office of Marketing & Communications.
build collaborative relationships across the school to share alumnae stories, career insights, and mentorship opportunities that enrich the student experience.
The desired candidate:
has a Bachelor’s Degree
3-5 years of professional experience in alumnae relations, alumni engagement, development, fundraising, or a related field.
has demonstrated success managing a portfolio of donors/prospects, meeting fundraising goals, and planning large-scale events.
excellent written and oral communication skills; strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
proficient with donor database management systems (Raiser's Edge preferred) and educational/office technology.
strong organizational, strategic thinking, and time management skills.
willingness to travel and flexibility for occasional evening and weekend commitments.
