PE Aide, Afternoon Front Desk Attendant Reports to Head of School
At Branch, we believe in the power of loving to learn, learning to lead, and leading with love. These guiding principles shape our community and mission. We are looking for an Aide to assist our Physical Education Teacher, and serve at our Front Desk after school.

Core Responsibilities
Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment
Assist the Physical Education teacher in delivering a developmentally appropriate curriculum.
Support hands-on learning activities that foster student engagement and foundational academic and social-emotional skills.
Reinforce lessons and instructions through one-on-one and small group support.
Help prepare instructional materials, organize classroom resources, and maintain a well-structured class environment.
Observe and document student behavior and progress to support the lead teacher’s assessment and planning.
Maintain confidentiality regarding student records, observations, and any sensitive information in accordance with school policies.
Supervision of Students
Maintain a safe, positive, structured, and organized classenvironment that fosters respect, cooperation, and independence.
Supervise students during classroom activities, outdoor play, snack/lunch times, and transitions to ensure their well-being and safety.
Provide active supervision during class activities, transitions, outdoor play, lunch, and dismissal.
Promote and model respectful behavior, problem-solving, and independence in young learners.
Assist in implementing classroom routines and behavior management systems that align with school values.
Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive climate.
Professional Development and Collaboration
Collaborate positively with the lead teacher and other staff to support a team-oriented approach to teaching.
Participate in staff meetings, planning sessions, and professional development as requested.
Demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow through feedback and observation.
Maintain professional and effective communication with colleagues and administrators.
Other Duties as Assigned
Participate in school events, including Open Houses and community programs.
Support school-wide activities and special projects as needed.
Welcome prospective families and visitors during classroom observations.
Uphold the school’s mission and values in all interactions with students, parents, and staff.

Front Desk Duties
Front desk duties would begin after school hours, and run from 4:00 p.m. to approximately 6:00 p.m. Duties include but are not limited to:
Check in vendors and other visitors, ensuring security protocols are observed
Communication with aftercare workers and other staff
Answer phone
Ensure students are leaving with authorized pick-up individual
Checkout students
Answer questions
Provide minor first aid as needed
Close up the school when all aftercare students are picked up

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those required to perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation:
Prolonged standing, walking, and occasional sitting
Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
Ability to lift and carry up to 25–30 pounds
Use of hands for writing, typing, and handling equipment and materials
Ability to actively supervise students and respond quickly to ensure safety
Clear verbal communication and ability to hear in indoor and outdoor environments
Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Visual and auditory awareness to maintain a safe and engaging environment
Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
Prior experience in a school atmosphere, preferably in an elementary or middle school setting. Physical Education experience preferred.

Competence with technology including computer and phone

Salary and Benefits:
Salary is commensurate with experience and education.
Salary starts at $35,000.00 and is a full-time, 10 month position
