Garrison Forest School is seeking a creative and dynamic individual for a part-time faculty position in our Middle School as the Middle School Spanish Teacher commencing August 2026. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic educator who brings an energetic and contemporary approach to the teaching of Spanish.

This position reports to the Head of the Middle School and meets with the Chair of the Language Department.  Comfort with current educational and communication technology and willingness to innovate, collaborate and challenge are essential. The annual salary range for this position is $25,000-$40,000 based on years of experience and education level; the exact compensation will be discussed during the hiring process. Major duties and responsibilities include: 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Garrison Forest Middle School seeks a part-time Spanish Teacher who can support and promote the mission and philosophy of the school. Duties and responsibilities will include the following:

• Teach multiple grades in the middle school in Spanish
• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of curriculum and subject matter with a course-load that would include all Middle School levels of Spanish 
• Work alongside grade-level teams to build cross-curricular connections and interdisciplinary projects
• Create a secure and stimulating environment in which students grow in both autonomy and the ability to work and interact together
• Take responsibility for being a role model by maintaining an environment that fosters respect among students and colleagues
• Possess strong communication skills, a patient and thorough understanding of early adolescence and the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues

Qualifications:    

• B.A. degree or equivalent – Master’s degree desirable
• Prior experience working with children in a school
