Founded in 1964 as an Episcopal boarding school for girls, Seabury Hall today is a coeducational independent day school serving 521 students from Maui in grades 5-12. The student body reflects Hawaii’s ethnic, cultural, and socio-economic diversity from all faiths and belief systems. The school is widely perceived as the preeminent college preparatory school on Maui and one of the leading schools in Hawaii. 

Seabury Hall is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Performing Arts Instructor to join our faculty for the 2026-2027 academic year. This role is designed for a versatile artist-educator who can inspire middle school students through the foundations of performance while contributing their specialized talents to our robust theater program.

The primary responsibility of this position is to lead Middle School Performing Arts classes, fostering a safe and energetic environment where students can explore expression, movement, and storytelling. A successful candidate will possess the pedagogical flexibility to teach core drama curriculum while taking on production-based roles that align with their specific skill set and departmental needs. 

Depending on the applicant's expertise, responsibilities may include:

• Directing: Leading or supporting Middle School and/or Upper School theatrical productions.
• Technical Theater: Instructing students in stagecraft, set design, and tech Theatre
• Costume Design: Managing wardrobe, costume construction, and design for school-wide performances.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor?s degree in Theater, Education or related field (preferred) and a proven track record of classroom excellence.
