Located in the beautiful seaside town of Dorado, Puerto Rico, The TASIS School in Dorado,
also known as TASIS Dorado, is an independent, non-sectarian, coeducational, not-for-profit,
college-preparatory day school affiliated with The American School in Switzerland (TASIS) Schools
in Switzerland, England, and Portugal. English is the primary language of instruction, and mastery of
multiple languages is fostered from PPK to Grade Twelve. TASIS Dorado is a registered 501(c)(3)
non-profit institution under the U.S. and Puerto Rico tax codes.
Founded in 2002 and located 15 miles west of San Juan, TASIS Dorado is set among 20 verdant
acres in the Sabanera Dorado neighborhood of Dorado. Interconnected buildings surround lush
courtyards filled with trees and flowers. We believe that studying in a beautiful environment
stimulates creativity, productive thinking, and positive relationships.

TASIS Dorado’s curriculum offers traditional and innovative elements and is supplemented by
various social and cultural activities. Emphasis is on learning skills, understanding and using
concepts, and demonstrating knowledge through a variety of avenues. The school challenges students
to achieve their full potential within a caring and supportive environment by focusing on community
and individual growth. The school values the integral education of its students, so there is an emphasis
on the well-balanced development of all students’ academic, cultural, social, emotional, and
physical aspects.
