We are seeking a Social Studies educator that has both depth and breadth of content expertise to team with our Social Studies department as well as a Grade Level Academy Team. Applicants should have experience with student-centered educational practices, a broad array of assessment strategies, and be comfortable with teaching all levels of learners across multiple disciplines within Social Studies (Economics, Sociology, Psychology, American History, World History, Government, Civics, Geography). Applicants are expected to be proficient with various forms of communication and instructional technology. Applicants will also be expected to be involved with co-curricular activities and/or mentoring students. In addition, we are seeking applicants with experience in service-oriented, project-based learning. A teacher within this role would be expected to design and implement learning experiences that are multidimensional, collaborative, and differentiated in addition to bringing an empathetic mindset to the learning process.
Bachelors Degree (required) (B.A. in Social Studies or equivalent degree preferred) Masters Degree or Education Degree (preferred) 3+ Years of teaching experience (preferred) Certification in Secondary Social Studies (preferred) Current (dated within a year) clearances (required)
