Position Overview

The Director of Domestic Admissions provides strategic leadership for all aspects of domestic student recruitment and enrollment. This role serves as the primary ambassador of Rice Memorial High School to prospective families, ensuring a warm, personalized, and mission-centered admissions experience from inquiry through enrollment, grounded in the school’s core values.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead the full domestic admissions cycle from inquiry to enrollment.

• Develop and implement strategic recruitment plans aligned with institutional goals.

• Build and sustain partnerships with regional feeder schools, parishes, and community organizations.

• Oversee application review, documentation collection, and admissions decision processes.

• Collaborate with school leadership regarding financial assistance and enrollment forecasting.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records using the school’s CRM system.

• Analyze enrollment metrics and trends to inform strategic decision-making.

Family Engagement & Community Presence

• Serve as the primary point of contact for domestic families.

• Conduct engaging campus tours and coordinate student shadow experiences.

• Represent Rice at recruitment fairs, school visits, and parish events.

• Strengthen Rice’s visibility across Vermont and surrounding regions.

• Ensure all admissions interactions reflect the school’s Catholic identity and commitment to excellence.

Event Leadership & Marketing

• Plan and execute high-impact Open Houses and admissions events.

• Manage marketing materials and branded communications.

• Collaborate with faculty and staff to present a cohesive school experience.

• Evaluate marketing effectiveness and return on investment.

Qualifications & Leadership Profile

• Strong commitment to Catholic education and the school’s core values.

• Experience in admissions, enrollment management, marketing, or education preferred.

• Preferred experience with enrollment and admissions systems such as Blackbaud, Finalsite, SAO (School and Student Services), and The Gateway to Prep Schools.

• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.

• Strategic thinker with strong organizational and analytical abilities.

• High level of discretion and professionalism.

• Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends.
